With 14GB of samples contained in almost 2,700 waves files, Eris is jam packed with a wealth of inspirational base material for you to work from.

However this is only the beginning of a much larger sonic adventure thanks to the libraries superb arsenal of sound shaping tools that are designed to bend, blend and automate your creations into never before heard sounds!

ATMOS, SPHERE and ROTOR:

On the right hand side of the interface you’ll find the three sound producing modules, each capable of producing 25 different sounds in a 5×5 structure.

You can activate these sounds by clicking on the symbols in the windows or alternatively, just hit the big “RANDOM” button at the bottom of the section to randomly assign sounds to each of the windows for instant sonic inspiration!

XY PAD:

The XY pad allows you to mix the different sounds that have been loaded into the Atmos, Sphere and Rotor windows. You can simply drag the dot inside the XY Pad to mix between the different sound categories or alternatively, for ease of use, this can be easily assigned to a MIDI hardware controller of your choice.

You can change the sensitivity of the XY Pad by moving the “xy sens” slider and thanks to the ADSR knobs conveniently placed on each corner of the XY Pad, you can control the attack, decay, sustain and release shape. On the top of the square there is a Octave Up button and on the bottom of the square there is Octave Down button. You can change the octaves in +/- 1 octave range.

ACT ENGINE – what it is:

ACT = “Automatic Composing Technology” and was specifically designed by Composer Tools to help speed up your workflow. Each table in ACT corresponds directly to the sound generation square into the memory management window on the right side of the instrument. You can manually draw a curve inside the any of the tables, or you can select shape by using a slider at the bottom of each table. You can also generate curves by pressing the “GEN” button. If AUTO is set to ON, the shapes will keep moving as long as you pressing a key on your keyboard. If you want to stick with the manual method, You can click the white square button on the left, to enlarge the tables.

PATSWITCH:

If you like the shape you’ve created and you want to be able to recall it at any time, click on the LEARN button and press one of the unused white or black keys on your keyboard to save it as a keyswitch. To erase the keys follow the same steps after pressing the ERASE button.

FX AND SWITCHES:

You can access to the FX section by clicking the button on the left side of the XY Pad. There are 5 different effects: Formant Filter, Chorus, Drive, SV Filter, Reverb. To activate the effect, click on the table with the effect you want to turn ON or press the violet keyswitch on your keyboard.

OPTIONS:

By clicking the button on the right side of the XY Pad, you can access to the more advance options of the instrument. To SAVE/LOAD settings of the whole instrument use the buttons on the PRESETS panel. The white cone controls the stereophony of the instrument.Tweak it, to make the sound wider, or narrow. You can also setup a CC for the X and Y axis of the pad, in order to control it by keyboard’s knobs. The ANIMATION button allows you to stop, or run the background animation.

Pity there is no demo version. I would have liked to see how well it worked with the KK88 knobs

Hi Stephen, its not possible to offer demos for most Kontakt sample libraries unfortunately. If you’re wondering how it works with the K88 keyboard it will work the exact same as other standard Kontakt libraries 🙂

Can your own samples be imported into the instrument? I would consider purchasing if there’s an affirmative on that. I don’t want to just use somebody else’s sounds.

Hi Erick, that is possible, but you’d need to be quite proficient with Kontakt to do that. It would require editing the Kontakt library files and going into the backend of the library to change the samples within it. Its definitely do-able but you would need to have a good understanding of Kontakt to do it. 🙂

Just bought Eris, one sample is corrupted, after bit of tricks then loaded . I was totaly disappointed it doesn’t worth a pound that’s sounds. All textures sounds very similar. Spend 13.1 Gb on computer for so poor textures. You can get so much best results using free vsti with some effects.

Do I need to register it at Composers Tools to receive the upgrade or you are going to notify the buyers?
    Thanks for your great service.

Does “three 5×5 grids to pick sounds from” mean that Eris basically comes with 75 different sounds? Not that I adhere to “more is always better”, I just would like to understand a bit, because this is tempting me to click “buy now” more than I want 😉

Oh and what is the 1.1 update going to contain?

      Hi Nobuyoshi,

basically each patch based on the ACT engine, like ERIS, hosts three categories with a certain number of sounds.

So yes, Eris comes with 75 sounds, 25 for each category (atmo, sphere and rotor). We’re planning
to release some extensions in the next period anyway.

      About the update:

We just sent it to VstBuzz, and all customers who bought ERIS by our site will receive it in the next 48h.
You can check our new video which includes the new features: https://youtu.be/fHt7SzmTeyU

main changes: a new sound manager, fx section have been extended and LFO have been implemented for each
      category.
