Go Far Beyond Ordinary Pitch Shifting
Chord Mode
Chord mode lets you select up to eight notes on the on-screen keyboard to form a chord. This mode can be used to harmonize or add higher or lower energy to a sound. With eight chord memory slots, you can save and recall chords for live performance.
Build chords for your track in MIDI learn mode, or copy and paste chords between slots and edit them. You can even copy chords to other instances of the plugin.
MIDI Mode
As well as Normal mode, with its pitchwheel control over the sound’s shift, Pitch Monster can operate using MIDI or Chord mode. Route MIDI to Pitch Monster, and control the amount of shift applied from your DAW or MIDI keyboard.
With MIDI note, glide and pitch bend support you can get musical results quickly – imposing new melodies and harmonies on existing material. In MIDI mode the audio only plays when a note is pressed.
Formant Mode
Formant mode is tailored for vocals but also works with other clean monophonic audio.
If you think of the voice as a series of pulse from your vocal chords through the resonating chambers of your neck and head then this mode lets you control the speed of the pulses and the size of your neck and head independently.
Unison, Jitter And Spread
Pitch Monster can create 8 voices in unison (or 64 total voices in MIDI or Chord mode) and spread them in time, pitch or both. Use these controls to create wide, thick or diffuse textures.

"The most important question would be how does Pitch Monster sound? This question can be quickly answered - Pitch Monster sounds really good without any annoying artefacts or tuning issues. The granular mode sounds very smooth and silky and gives the sound an expensive touch. But also the typical rough, edgy and metallic granular sound can be achieved with the use of the Grain Rate knob. With the formant mode it's very easy to transform vocals and voices and with the addition of pitch and time spread, jitter and unison features, Pitch Monster is very versatile and can change the output from subtile to brutal. The possibility to change notes via MIDI and even play Pitch Monster like an instrument in the vocoder mode enables even more variety. The user interface is very clean, clear and not confusing at all. All relevant functions do have its own knob or button and during the test there was no crash or other issue. Well done Devious Machines!"
