Multiple Articulations & Playing Styles!
“Cello Textures” employs a visually stimulating GUI inspired by Spitfire’s “Evo” series of instruments, that uses only shapes and arrows to communicate the articulation type and performance options.
Articulations & Effects
- Four cello articulations: Staccato, Accent, Dramatic Swell, and Slow Swell
- Each articulation recorded with 3 different tone qualities (normale, ponticello, fingered harmonics)
Performance Options
- Up/Down Arrows – use these to transpose a particular articulation up or down an octave.
- Loop – layers both a reverse articulation and a normal articulation so that they loop continuously.
- Reverse Articulation – plays the chosen articulation backwards.
- Random – by using the “Dice” button on the top left of the interface you can completely randomize which articulations and performance controls are activated, which can be great for discovering new and unusual textures!
- Convolution Reverbs – choose from 4 convolution reverbs.

BENJAMIN – :
Ben Osterhouse’s instruments are without peer, at any price. At this price, they’re a no brainer. The instrument specializes in unusual, relatively dry cello textures. It’s a simple, lightweight instrument with a beautiful GUI. Again, well worth the money.

THIS MAN IS A GENIUS!!!!! This library has so many cool and great features! This is a real secret weapon for anyones arsenal. I’m going to have to tell people I play the Cello, that’s how realistic It is! great library – OscarFisherMusic
Marc – :
Great product, was able to start using in a project right away and it added a new type of depth. Would like to see some more controls available and found a bug that purged all samples while moving MIDI notes in DAW editor, but for the price it’s a good deal!
Pierre – :
Very interesting instruments, sounds really good. The random feature is nice.
Wouter – :
It’s a very special sound, but it can completely transform a boring strings sound to something more fragile, realistic
Kirk – :
This Kontakt instrument is exactly what I needed to touch up strings parts and make them sound real and varied.
The interface is refreshingly visual and creative and designed to produce unexpected results. Great instrument.
Leonie – :
Very good!
Not only that the interface allows you to combine three several bowing techniques, you also have three modes for each and all of them can be used altogether. Really wonderful and inspiring – plus the randomize function is simple and effective.
Despite of that the sounds are very crisp.
With this instrument you could start a composition and build upon the unusual movements, which is great.
Tyrone – :
Ben Osterhouse did a great job on this one! Can’t find these articulations anywhere else.
