The Space GUI – Simple But Effective
The Space interface can be thought of being divided into three distinct sections:
In/Out Levels, Presets & Convolution Reverbs
From the bottom you will see the following controls:
- Presets – this is where you can choose from the 20 Factory & Artist presets or create and store your own
- In/Out Levels – use these dials to set the input and output level of your signal
- Impulse Response Menu – choose from the 20 IRs provided
Magnitude & Longitude
These controls determine the length and depth of the reverb that is produced.
- Magnitude – dial in more girth to your reverb sound. Think of it as increasing your room size right up to something epically large, and it certainly goes as big as you’ll need.
- Longitude – can be used effectively drier, just to increase the sustain and release time of a note, not to mention the overall smoothness.
The Smart Random Button & Dry/Wet Dial
- Smart Random Button – this does exactly what you would expect it to do… it creates a completely random reverb that may provide the seeds of inspiration for your next track!
- Dry/Wet – use this dial to determine exactly the amount of reverb you want to be added to your mix.
