What is “Frostbite”?
“Frostbite” is a simple but very versatile effect that works well with ambient and cinematic music as well as sound design. It comes with the following features:
- Ring Modulator
- Feedback
- Freeze
- Preset system with randomizer

3 Effects Modules, Endless Sound Design Possibilities!
“Frostbite” has three effects modules, with each module bringing it’s own special attributes designed to help you achieve the sound you are looking for quickly and easily:
RING MODULATOR
- Frequency – Controls the frequency of the carrier signal
- LowPass – Attenuates frequencies above the cutoff
- Amount – The amount of wet signal
FREEZE
- Fade Out – Applies an exponential fade out to the freezed signal
- HighPass – Attenuates frequencies below the cutoff
- Size – Controls the length of the freezed signal
- Amount – The amount of wet signal
FEEDBACK
- LFO Rate – Controls the rate of the modulation applied to the Delay parameter
- LFO Depth – Controls the depth of the modulation applied to the Delay parameter
- Delay – Applies a delay in samples inside the feedback loop
- Amount – The amount of wet signal
MIX
- Dry – The amount of dry signal
- Wet – The amount of wet signal
- Limiter – Hard clipper at 0dB
RANDOMIZER
This feature can randomize all the parameters on the interface at once. This is a quick way to find the result you are looking for. This random result can then be tweaked as needed to suit your musical purposes.
In addition, there are 15 pre-defined presets that one can choose from and you can save or delete your own presets for later use. Additionally, the tabs at the bottom of the interface switch between different signal flows, effectively multiplying the number of presets by six!
