How It Works
The instrument has eight unique chord sets and four single note sets which can be selected on the screen or key-switched on the keyboard.
With each chord set, the pitch bend corresponds to the major scale.
In the chord sets, the white keys are diatonic chords and the black keys are other common chords (1variation, 2, 4min, #5dim, b7).
In the single note sets, the white keys are the major scale and the black keys are duplicate notes from the scale that don’t respond to the pitch bend.
Play single notes, double stops, or create custom unique movements by combining keys that bend and keys that don’t.
Transpose chord sets and single notes using the arrows on the user interface.

Don – :
First touch inspiring. That’s how I can tell I have made a good purchase. Not only that but I have so much further to go with this plugin. Will fit in many of my acoustic compositions
Ernest – :
I have not acquired Full Kontakt yet, but everything about this pedal steel program convinced me to buy Full Kontakt. The sounds and technique look fantastic… as are the sounds and the ability to control the sound of the slide. Thumbs up!
Thomas – :
This Instrument is really nice to add some pedal steel licks in your songs. It took me a little while to get the hang of it. I love it though.
David – :
Really want to give this 10 stars, because it’s beautiful, but it’s somewhat difficult to control chords, so better for writing with initially than playing over other tracks.
Craig – :
Overall a good library for the price with some useful pedal steel sounds. I wish there was a manual to explain some features a little better.
Peter – :
Nice instrument at a really appealing price. Enough flexibility to achieve the sound I want, but simple enough that I don’t get bogged down in the details.
Betty – :
Very good sounds and very useful. You have some controls to ajust but mostly the presets are good. You have to practise a little bit to play with it. The reverb and delay are okay, the distortion is not the best but you can use your own. Fot this discount prise is WOW!
Doug – :
The sounds are great. It’s fun to play even if you are not familiar with the real instrument. Get it!
Michael – :
Great option for a pedal steel! It was a great deal and it’s simple to use. Definitely useful if you want to add in some country flavour.
Alan – :
At full price Ink Steel is a great plug in. For £19, it is simply fantastic! Brings that American country feel to a track that only a lap/pedal steel can provide, without having to invest years learning how to play a real one.
Ray – :
Hey Bobby! Thanks for making this Ink Steel. You have come up with THE most clever use of the pich bend wheel on a midi kybd I have ver witnessed in the VSTi market. KUDOS!!! It makes emulating steel bends and slides easy and believable. I just snagged it at VST (going out of biz sale), but I also picked up your free harmonica. Question: your retail prices are a little on the high side… Other than third party deals, do you ever run any deep discounted sales besides the 3 & 4 library bundles? Kent Cantwell. It takes a little adjustment at first, but you can get a nice steel slide guitar sound.
Like many kontakt instruments, working with the control keys will take some time before they become natural.
Hans – :
Ink Steel is very easy to understand if you are familiar with chords and chord structure. Altough i cannot read music i quickly found my way using it. Sounds very good, so do the effects!
Kevin – :
I like the combined simplicity of the presets- especially chords, and the easy tweaking ability of settings. Very user friendly. The sound is great. love the app. Would get a 10 if it could be put in Kontact Library, but I appreciate the effort to make it affordable, which prevents this.
Bob – :
This is a nice (and playable) addition to my plugin instruments. I’ve not gotten all that deep with it but what I have experimented with is very useable to flavor any music. I would only use it sparingly to enhance the songs I do. It is very convincing, IMO. At present, too, is the sale price, making it too irresistible to not buy! Well done INK!
