Taking A Classic Synth & Supercharging It For Today’s Modern Musician
The Original Instrument – ARP Odyssey
The versatile ARP Odyssey Synthesiser, introduced in 1972, was used by artists as diverse as Gary Numan, Herbie Hancock and Kraftwerk. With few produced, it’s now very much a collector’s item.
Unrivalled Programmability
In order to overcome the original instrument’s limitation of a single LFO, GForce Software also added the ability to apply an additional LFO and ADSR to almost any of the main Oddity2 sliders, which gives the instrument almost unrivalled versatility and depth when it comes to sound design options.
Additional improvements over its predecessor include an on-board delay, spread or random pan modes, patch morphing via beats or seconds, program change recognition and implementation of the two octave transpose switch for dynamic real-time performances.
Put simply, Oddity2 further builds on the significance and lineage of the original hardware and software instruments, by taking its fundamental sonic character and, via a raft of carefully considered musical enhancements, transplants it into the hands of those musicians ready to take it to both familiar and new horizons.
XLFO & XADSR Section
This is where the classic is taken to a brand new level of sound design possibilities with independent LFOs and ADSRs (called XLFOs and XASDRs respectively) for most panel parameters.
Filter & Mixer Section
Oddity2 sports the three filter types found in the original MKI, MKII and MKIII. Modelling of these was a critical part of the development process allowing Oddity2 to replicate the tones of each variant accurately.
SUB OSC, OSC 1 & OSC 2 Controls
The OSC1 and OSC2 sections meticulously emulate the original as does the white and pink noise generator. GForce Software also added a SUB oscillator for those deep bass frequencies without compromising the dual VCOS.
LFO & S/H Section
The original LFO and Sample & Hold section can be greatly extended by use of the new XLFO and XADSR section (at the top of the Ul) that provides a huge range of modulation permutations for most panel controls.
Envelopes & Triggering
Two envelopes, ADSR and AR with various routing options. New keyboard velocity controls for amplitude and filter.
Settings Section
While the duophonic and monophonic modes have been retained, Oddity2 now also offers monophonic legato mode and full polyphony (max 32 voices).
Delay & Output Sections
Add width to your sound with Pan Spread and complement it with the Stereo Delay.
Patch & Morph Controls
Quickly find the right sound from the 1000+ specially curated patches thanks to the 24 categorised banks of 64 patches. If you want to take your sound further, you can even morph two patches together.
“It’s immediately evident when playing a GForce instrument that the creators of these plugins are in love with the hardware they emulate. Great sounds coupled with extremely faithful recreations of these classics make these must-haves in your collection.” – Klayton (Celldwellor)

Eric – :
Oddity2 is a very musical synth, very inspiring ! Only one regret, the size of the GUI. But, at this price, it is really a no brainer ! I recommend it. Thanks so much VSTbuzz for this offer!
Petr – :
Sounds fantastic, very faithful recreation of the original, BUT — non resizable GUI, non HiDPI, very small, outdated, very bad presets library and even worse presets browsing.
Emmanouil – :
GForce make some great emulations. I already owned SEM, Imposcar and Minimonsta, so I knew I had to get this as well.
Thanapatsachot – :
really great !! I love how it sound, sound like the real one . really recommend. the preset also good. love it !!!!
John – :
GForce plugs deliver fantastic sound, loads of tasty presets, and good CPU utilization. Oddity2 is not exception in those regards. There is clarity, warmth, and presence to the sonics. My only critique is the UI. Given that it’s an older plug-in, I expect we won’t see a larger resolution. The skeuomorphic design is alright, but I’m not convinced that replicating the hardware UI always makes for a fluid programming experience.
Mark – :
Without a doubt this is the best synth plugin I have and such an amazing price too!!, a very happy chappy
Peyton – :
It’s not as if I needed another ARP Odyssey emulation. But the improvements from version 1 to 2, as well as an extensive library of presets (that so far, all sound GREAT) make this a total no-brainer at the VST Buzz price!
toshihiro – :
Oddity2 is a best synthesizer for any genre music maker.
Easy to operate to marking sounds.
Also Very good presets
