The Story of Orakle X
At the heart of Orakle X is founder Brian D’Oliveira’s (Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Resident Evil VII: Biohazard) vast collection of one-of-a-kind instruments, assembled during his many travels across the globe.
His dedication to studying the ancient performance techniques of these unique instruments, combined with Mntra Instruments leading-edge ultrasonic sampling workflow, allows them to be heard in an entirely new way.
From aleatoric flute swarms and bombastic drums to bowed metal textures and extended Baroque cello harmonics, Orakle X gives you all the components needed to create visionary sound worlds.
Recorded with state-of-the-art equipment in Mntra Instruments legendary RCA Victor studio in Montreal, and meticulously sampled to capture the nuanced resonances of these rare instruments, Orakle X has vast compositional and sound design applications.

Inspired by the natural world and ancient knowledge from around the world, Mntra Instruments embrace expressive (im)perfections. Performing and recording instruments using experimental methods to create sounds like you’ve never heard before.
From their bespoke extreme-quality recording method using ultrasonics, to their constant experimentation with unique workflows and sound sources, each Instrument they release is a playable manifestation of their exploratory journey.
During Mntra Instruments’ sampling process, the subtleties and imperfections of live human performance are embraced and encouraged.
Depending on the final intent, they will creatively post-process as little or as much as needed (sometimes beyond recognition), always making sure that the soul and character of the performance is intact once it’s been implemented as one of their expressive playable instruments.

Mntra Instruments, if anything, is known for the use of innovative and eye-catching UI designs..as much as for the quality of the sounds their plugins enable you to create..and Orakle X is no different in that regard.
The UI is intuitive and a joy to use and the resulting sounds you get are a great fit for any mix based in the Cinematic/ Ambient genres, though you could honestly throw this plugin at any genre and come up with sounds that sit well in your mix.
