This is the software that I have used by far the most often in the past few years. As a standalone and also as a VST plug-in (Cubase and Ableton Live).
I use the extensive midi implementation to control my large sound collection via iPad.
I don’t know of any other software that can do this. Does not work perfectly with all VST instruments
