Stunning Multi-Sampled Glass Marimba for Kontakt
In Brazil, the glass marimba was popularized by Brazilian instrumental group UAKTI.
Its members have built hundreds of percussion instruments, among them the glass marimba to a greater extent.
Two types of mallets were used when recording the library, diversifying the textures and tones of the marimba. The library also contains chords, motifs and grooves as well as the single notes of the instrument, meaning its incredibly flexible.
Single Notes, Motifs, Chord Progressions, Ostinatos & Arpeggios
Two kinds of sticks (mallets) were used when recording this library. The first has a velvety sound and a smooth attack, while the second brings a brighter sound with more presence.
There are no artificially extended samples – each note has 8 velocities and all of them were separately sampled for more tone and performance.
The sampled glass marimba was created by the Luthier Warley Dyorman. Keeping the same pattern of creation made by Uakti, the marimba has a slightly larger key range, extending from E2 to the F#5.

Okay, I’m a sucker for anything marimba / balafon… and also a sucker for pretty much anything “glassy” sounding. For a low price, this plugin delivers the middle of that Venn diagram in a way that doesn’t disappoint. The UI is a little cramped, a little “sea urchin” is what I call UI’s that have so much stuff condensed into one small area that it kind of makes you uncomfortable even looking at it, and want to proceed with caution. HOWEVER it’s also a space saver in that way and almost every plugin at this price-point has that style of minimal UI so, 9/10!

Beautiful tone and nice arpeggios too. Play them at 5ths!
Alex – :
Really nice, very useable and different enough to standard Marimbas to justify a place in my library.

What’s not to love? Nice interface and great sound. I am a big fan of Muletone Audio… thanks VST Buzz
James – :
Great sounding – and obviously a great value … adds a little extra something underneath another instrument or pad. Doesn’t sound extremely glassy or bell-like – has a truly unique sound – and useful sound.
Kenjii – :
Great product! It provided instant brilliance and movement to a few projects I’m currently working on.
Dawoud – :
I find this instrument very useful for any productions requiring something percussive to add that certain something into a song. It is a different sound from the standard Marimba, so it sets itself apart in that regard.
Ake – :
Nice sounding with a lot of brilliant percussive effect. Very tweakable and distinct. I’ve tried it in some different kind of music – never takes overhand, but gives a nice flavour.
Michael – :
I love the modern, almost eery sound of this unique instrument! It can be used very subtly for rhythmic ostinati or as a featured part of a track.
Sheldon – :
Don’t be fooled by the low prize! This library has the most beautiful glass marimba sounds you can find!
Darren – :
This is a really fun addition to have in your library not only as a stand-alone but especially getting deep into making layered combinations with other instruments and sounds. Coolness in here.
Theodore – :
Pure and realistic sound and very playable. Thanks for making this available, and at such a great price~
