Powerful Functionality In An Easy To Understand Interface
Since the gain of some early guitar amp was cranked up for the first time, distortion became an acknowledged tool for enhancing sound. And when a filter was added to an early subtractive synth, filtering became an indispensable way of carving timbre.
“Distiller” equally focuses on these two pillars of sound creation as it combines over a dozen types of distortion and a wide selection of filters.
What makes it special and modern is the possibility to blend between two types of distortion and the fact that both the filter cutoff and the blend between distortion types can be controlled by separate LFOs.
Interface Overview
- 1) Browse, save or initialize a preset, engage output soft clip and set its threshold, bypass the plugin.
- 2) Set input and output gain and proportions between dry and wet signals.
- 3) Select filter type, set its controls and position it pre or post distortion.
- 4) Select distortion types, set their amount and blend between them.
- 5) Select LFO shape and settings including synchronization and polarity.
