With ARTEFACT you get two separate instrument folders:

• Artefact – Ambient Cinematic Toolkit
• Artefact – Textures and Pads

Folder 1 has 4 categories of instruments: (and multis)

• Ambient Motion (27)
• Textures and Pads (31)
• Ethereal Experiments ( 25)
• Guitar Wonderland (15)
• Multis (20)

FOLDER 2 contains:

• Textures and Pads (30)
• Ethereal Experiments ( 25)

In both folders, the categories “Textures And Pads” and “Ethereal Experiments” contain exactly the same sounds, but are mapped in a different GUI.

Why?

The GUI in first folder uses entirely TIME MACHINE PRO playback mode. Because of that, if you play complex harmonies on some pad sounds, you might hear voice choke (voices cutting off abruptly).

So that is why Dark Intervals decided to take 2 categories from this first folder, based on pad sounds, and pack them in another GUI, which uses the DFD (Direct From Disk) playback option. This gives you much bigger number of voices, they put it this into a folder called “Artefact-textures And Pads”.

So you can choose which GUI you want to use when playing these specific instrument categories.

Interface 1

This is in the folder “Artefact-ambient Cinematic Toolkit”

On this interface you have various adjustment options, such as playback speed change, attack/release adjustment, overdrive activation and knob, chorus, HPF and LPF with adjustable resonance, reverse playback, legato playback and delay/reverb. You have also pan and stereo spread.

On the second page of the interface you will find the delay and reverb parameters (all explained in the manual that comes with your download).

This is in the folder “Artefact-textures And Pads”.

This interface has only one page. It has HPF and LPF adjustment knobs, attack/release adjustment, delay and reverb with several parameters editable.
