Guitars In Space Vol 1
GUITARS IN SPACE is instrument based on an electric guitar sound source. Dark Intervals mainly used Jazzmaster style guitar in recording process, and a baritone fretless for additional effects.
This instrument is a tool for ambient and cinematic indie genre, with very little space required and without patches you will never use, since often there is a case where customer purchases big sample library and uses only small part of it.
This is NOT a fully sampled guitar with many various articulations. This is a tool that has several complementary elements created for composers seeking “that” specific sound. It is simple, compact and easy to use and it blends perfectly with pianos and ambient string sounds.
6 Instrument Patches:
- Guitar – Plectrum: is main patch. It is sampled in neck pickup position, 4 velocity layers and 4 round robins. It sounds very natural and responsive.
- Guitar Pad: pad created by processing guitars into external reverb unit, and sampled as reverberated long notes.
- Guitar Cosmos: similar to patch 2, but with added mystical phrases, licks and various sounds played on fretless baritone guitar, which can be heard when pressed on higher velocities. Very inspiring patch!
- Guitar Swell: swell recorded with volume pedal.
- Guitar Swell (wet): swell recorded with volume pedal, but printed with external reverb and chorus.
- Guitars In The Distance: something between swell and pad, processed with outboard reverb.

Guitars In Space Vol 2
GUITARS IN SPACE VOLUME 2 is a Kontakt instrument based on an electric guitar sound source. In recording process, we used Jazzmaster style guitar (Hofner 164 from 1971) and 2016 El Diablo Stratocaster, Custom shop, along with outboard effect processors.
This instrument is a tool for the ambient and cinematic genre, with very little drive space required.
This is NOT a fully sampled guitar with many various articulations. This is a tool that has several complementary elements created for composers seeking “that” specific sound. It is simple, compact and easy to use and it blends perfectly with pianos and ambient string sounds.
10 Instrument Patches:
- Plectrum (Bridge): is main patch. It is sampled in bridge pickup position, 4 velocity layers and 3 round robins. It sounds very natural and responsive .
- Decime Shimmers (E-major): Decime interval sampled on strat (finger style), in E-Major basic scale notes, with outboard lush reverb and chorus effects imprinted. Mapped in C for ease of use!
- Floating Chords: Rich and lush chords with long outboard reverb tale imprinted. Separated in 3 keyboard colors : Left-major, Middle-minor, Right-sus2
- Blue Motion: Very textural pad created with guitar source.
- Guitars On Kepler: another pad, spacious and ambient.
- Velvet Pulsar 1: Inspiring, pulsating patch, tempo synced!
- Velvet Pulsar 2: Another inspiring, pulsating patch, tempo synced!
- Diamond Rain On Pluto: Beautiful tempo synced sequence. Our favorite patch! Separated in two key colors : Left-major, Right-minor
- Crystal Rain On Pluto: Similar to number 9, with different formant settings.
- Quiet Rain On Pluto: Similar to number 8 and 9, with more extreme formant settings.

Guitars In Space Vol 3
GUITARS IN SPACE VOLUME 3 is a Kontakt instrument based on an electric guitar sound source. In the recording process, Dark Intervals used the 2016 El Diablo Stratocaster, a Custom shop combined with several outboard units and effects.
In this sequel, there is an emphasis on Muted Guitar (neck), and various loops and textures. This is NOT a fully sampled guitar with many various articulations.
This is a tool that has several complementary elements created for composers seeking “that” specific sound. It is simple, compact, and easy to use and it blends perfectly with pianos and ambient string sounds.
THE SOUND
This edition is primarily focused on very natural and responsive sounding muted guitar sampled in neck position (4 velocity layers, 2 round robins). Besides this, Dark Intervals added few ear candies which can be very inspiring and are easy to use.
There are 16 instrument (NKI) files and 8 multis (NKM) files:
- The first two Nki patches are Muted Guitars, (mono and quasi stereo).
- All other patches are inspirational loops/sequences and textures that are simple to use.
They are synced to DAW and recorded in 90 bpm, therefore that bpm will sound more natural.

This is a distinctive-sounding and nicely implemented sample library. The sounds are excellent and well-considered, with an emphasis on a niche presentation of the guitar. In that, they focus on a certain kind of timbre and texture, not attempting to be general purpose guitar instrument, but to emphasize the atmospheric and pad-like characteristics of a spacious, ambient sound. The sequences are particularly good! I highly recommend this library.
