A Whole New World Of Creative Analog Tape Delay Possibilities
K7D is an audio delay effect which consists of an audio signal being recorded to some medium and then reproduced after a short period of time. This audio effect was first developed in the 1940’s using tape.
The principle is simple, one tape head records and one or more tape heads, physically distant from the recording head, reproduce the audio signal. The distance between the recording and playing heads represent the delay time. The reproduced audio signal is filtered and partially fed to the input again creating the effect of a decaying repeating sound. K7D emulates these old mechanical tape loops.
The interface of K7D consists of a status bar on the top, a main panel with the common delay parameters along with three tabs on the bottom for modulation, filtering and character manipulation.
Vintage Sound, Modern Control
To give K7D its distinctive analog flavour, Imaginando studied and analysed the tiny details of what makes classic hardware delays great, and painstakingly recreated every subtle nuance for a fantastically authentic sound.
K7D’s combination of features makes it a versatile effects plugin, capable of much more than just standard tape delay. K7D mixes great quality sound with a great set of controls, for a truly unique experience with distinctive results.
From vintage pre-amp/pre-gain saturation, to the ability to tune the delay with MIDI pitch information, everything is easy to access via its stylish, intuitive display. Spend less time searching for parameters and more time designing your sound.

What People Think About 80% off “K7D Tape Delay” by Imaginando

"K7D sounds great and is perfect for everything from subtle delays, space and warmth right up to insane psychedelic and dub effects. It’s very attractively priced and has a gentle learning curve that definitely doesn’t blind you with science. To my ears it definitely sounded warmer and more analog in style than a lot of the software echo FX out there, and it’s undoubtedly less money than a lot of competitors. As someone who uses echo a lot, K7D will certainly be featuring in my productions from now on."

Well thought out interface with a clean sound and lots of parameters tweakable. Can go subtle in Chorusland and also go crazy with the modulations options (including pitch effects). Really a good one!

Very good tape delay. Easy to use, great sound and an intuitive gui.
For this prize it is definitely a no-brainer.

Really great tape delay VST! Even better than the one I paid 4x the price for. I love it provides quite a lot of sound resign options that others don’t.
